Fatal Sin Eighteen: Slandering chaste and Pure women
Allaah says :
Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing are cursed in this life, and in the hereafter. For them is the grevious penalty. |
Allaah says also :
And those who bunch a charge against chaste women, and produce not fourwitnesses (to support their allegations), flog them with eighty stripes and reject their evidence ever after for such men are wicked transgressors. |
The Prophet said : Avoid the seven fatal sins...... He mentioned slandering haste believing women as one of them. The Prophet also said The true Muslim is the one who prevents other Muslims from his tongue and hand. The Prophet once said to Mu’adh Let your mother lose you there is nothing that throws people on their faces in Hell at the Day of Judgement, but their tongues. Allaah says :
And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear a culmany and glaring sin. |
The Prophet said : He who slanders his slave with adultery will receive his penalty at the Day of Judgement unlesshe is telling the truth. Those who slandered the Muslims mother and the wife ofthe Prophet, ‘Aaisha Allaah bless her, after the verse of clearing her from the charge accused on her, are blasphamist, and disbelievers in the Qur’aan that they should be killed.
Fatal Sin Nineteen: Stealing from Exploits of war and from the money of the Zakaat
Allaah says:
No Prophet could (ever) be false to his trust. If any person is so false, He shall on the day of Judgement - restore what he misappropiated, then shall every soul receive its due, whatever it earned and non shall be dealt with unjustly. |
Abu hamid al-Sa’idy said The Prophet employed a man from the ‘Azd named Ibn al-Utaibah to collect charities and endowments, when he came to the Prophet he said This is for you [house of Zakaat] and this is for me, it was given to me has a present. The Prophet then went to the platform, priased Allaah, then said I employ one of you and says : This is for you and this is for me, it was given as a present for me. Shall this man sit in his parent’s house till this present goes to him if he was honest?! Any one takes anything unjustly, he shall face Allaah carrying this thing with him : I shall see a man carrying a camel, other a cow with a lowing, and another a goat that raises. Then he lifts up his (the prophets) hand saying: O Allah: Did I deliver your message?
Abu Hurairah may Allaah have mercy on him, said : We went with the Prophet to khaibar, we did not gain gold nor money, but furniture, food and clothes. Then we went to the valley, a slave was with the Prophet, whom was given to the Prophet by a man from Jutham. When we settled there, the Prophets slave went on to untie the Prophets camels saddle. suddenly, then he was killed by an arrow (from the enemies) . We said to the Prophet : congratulations for his martydom. The prophet answered us : no by He who has my soul the turban is flaming on his body fire, for what he stole from the exploits of Khaibar before dividing them . People got terrified. a man came then with one or two shoe laces. the Prophet said one or two shoelaces of hellfire. It is honestly said that the Prophet, Abu Bakr and Umar burned the fortunes of such stealer and beat him. Abdullaah ibn Amroo said a man who has named with KirKara was riding the Prophets camel, suddenly he died. THe Prophet said he is in hellfire. The Companions ent and looked into his properties and found a gown stolen by the dead man from the exploits of war.
There are plenty of traditions that could be included in this chapter and some of them can be classified under the chapter of unfairness or ill treatment. Unfairnesss is divided into three sections the first one is eating others money unjustly the second is killing, injure, hitting, or breaking others unjustly the third is insulting them or cursing and slandering them undeservedly. The Prophet once said when he delivered aspeech at Mina your blood money and virtue are forbidden (to be misused) as the forbiddness of this day , in this month in this town.
The prophet said Allah accepts not a prayer with no purification and accepts no charity with stealing. Zayd ibn Khalid Al Juhani said a man stole at the time of Khaibar, the prophet did not pray on hum and said your brotjher here stole from which is for Allah. We searched his properties and found in them two dhirhams of pearls. Imam Ahmad said we know that the prophet leaves not the prayer on a dead muslim unless he is a stealer from exploits of war or suicider.
Fatal Sin Twenty: Unfairness taking others money unjustly
Allah says :
And do not eat up your property amongst yourselves for vanities nor use it as a bait for judges with it intent that you may eat up wrongfully and knowingly a little of other peoples |
Allah says also :
The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrong doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice, for such there will be a penalty grevious, |
A third verse is about
wrong doers will have no protector nor help the prophet said and unfairness is the darkness at the Day of Judgement he said also he who unfairs a span of hand on earth will be surrounded by seven layers of earth at the day of judgement |
Allah says :
Allah is never unjust in the least degree. |
In the tradition, the prophet said A councel which Allah does not leave a bit of it (without ) is a councel of unfairness. The prophet also said unfairness towards the rich is unjust. The deadly unjust is a false promise or lying. The prophet said he who takes other muslims right his right hand (intentionally) aught to go to hell. They asked Oh prophet of Allaah even if it is a tiny thing the prophet answers even if it was a pole of a small stick. The prophet also said he whom we employ on others money and tells us not about a string he recieves or any thing above in value, his action is stealing that comes on the Day of Judgement carrying it. The turban is burning under his body. Then a man stood up, went away, then came back again holding a trap which he stole it from the exploits before dividing them saying : This is a trap of fire. A man once asked the holy Prophet : O Prophet if I was killed in war when I am a patient warrior, tolerant, going ahead not with drowning, do these atone my sins? The Prophet answered yes except debts. The Prophet also said : There are men who deal with Allaah’s money unjustly, they will have hell Fire at the Day of Judgement. Jaabir May Allaah have mercy on him said that the Prophet said to k’ab Ibn Ujara : Flesh grown on ill gotten property does not enter Paradise, Hell-fire deserves it more. The Prophet also said : A body that was nourished with forbidden gains does not ever enter Paradise.
We can include in this chapter : tax collectors, highway robbers, traitors, those who claim to know the future or the unkown to gain others money, cheaters, those who borrow things then deny them, those who cheat at weighing, those who find money and conseal it, those who sell some goods with faulty things in them and cover them, gamblers, and those who auction on a good they don’t want to buy but to increase the price on the buyer himself.
Fatal Sin Twenty One: Theft or Stealing
Allaah says :
As to the thief male or female, cut off his or her hands a punishment by way of example from Allaah for their crime. |
The Prophet said : Allaah damns the thief who steals [even] a robe, his hand must be cut off. The Prophet also said : If Fatima [the Prophets daughter] should steal, I will cut off her hand. He also said : The adultrous does not commit his sin when he is a Believer, the theif does not steal when he is a believer, but the way for repentence is always open. The Prophet said : They are but four : Do not equate Allaah with others, do not kill souls unjustly, don’t fornicate and do not steal. I the author, say The thiefs repentance does not work unless he gives back the stolen to his owner. If he is penniless he should ask the owner forforgiveness.
Fatal Sin Twenty Two:Highway Robbery
Allaah says :
The punishment of those who wage war against Allaah and His Messenger, and strive withmight and main, for mischief through the land is : execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting of the feet and hands from the opposite sides, or exile from the land : that is their disgrace in this world and a heavy punishment is theirs in the hereafter. |
Even scaring others at High ways is like commiting the sin itself, how then if he takes money, kills, or injures others?! Take in consideration their leaving for prayers and spending what they steal on forbidden thingssuch as drinking wine or adultery.
Fatal Sin Twenty Three: Disastrous swearing
Ubdullaah Ibn Amru said that the Prophet said : The fatal sins are : Shirk, disobeying parents, kiling others unjustly, and false swearings. Disatrous swearing is lying intentionally when swearing, and it is called disastrous because it leads the swearer to deep hell. The Prophet said : a man said : By Allaah this man will never be forgiven. Allaah said : Who is this who claims upon me that I will never forgive this man, I forgave him and caused your work for loss. The Prophet said : There are those whom Allaah at the Day of Judgment, shall not praise nor talk to them and shall give them grievous torture they are, The one who lowers his clothes to the ground the remainderof charitites, and the one who sells his goods by false swearings. The Prophet also said : he who swears not by Allaah is a blasphemist. He also said : He who swears to gain another Muslims money unjustly, will meet Allaah and he is angry on him. they said : even if it was a bit of anything? Yes, and even if it was a pole of small stick. It is agreed that this is even greater for the one who only swears falsely at the afternoon and at the Prophets platform. The Prophet also said : He who swears by laat and ‘Uzza should say the statement of faith ; there is no god but Allaah, [Indicating that the swearer in that case turned himself into a blasphemist]. There were among the companions people who were new to the swearing matter his tongue may slip with swearing with idols, so he hurries to say the statement of faith. The Prophet said : No one swears at this platform falsely even on a small stick but the Hell-Fire is his torture.
Fatal Sin Twenty Four: Lying
Allaah says :
Allaah guides not one who transgress and lie |
He also says :
Woe to false hood mongers |
a third verse is :
Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allaah on those who lie. |
The Prophet said : Lying leads to licentiousness, and licentiousness leads to hell-fire. The man still lies till he is written a liar in the book of Allaah. He also said : Three signs that are for the hypocrite, if he talks, he lies. If he promises, he breaks his promises, and if he is entrusted on something he betrays it. another hadeeth is : A pure hypocrite has four signs, anyone who has one of them is a hypocrite, he should try hard to leave it, these signs are : If he is entrusted on something, he betrays, if he speaks he lies. If he promises, he breaks his promise, and if he disputes with someone, he commits sins. The Prophet said : He who claims to have a dream which he did not actually have seen, will be asked - at the Day of Judgement to do the impossible which he won’t be able to do it. He also said : The worst kind of lying is to claim to have seen something which he didn’t see. The Prophet also said : The man I saw, cutting his cheeks towards his back and his nose and eye towards his back, is the man who comes out of his telling lies that goes far away. The Prophet also said : al-Mumin is natured on everything but not treachery and lying. The Prophet said also : In offers there is a free pace for lying. He said also : Suffice it to gain sins to tell whatever is heard. He also said : He who makes himself dream with things he is not given as the one who wears two dresses of falsity. The Prophet then warned us : Avoid suspicion, it is lying. in another hadeeth, the Prophet said : Three are those whom Allaah will never speak to ..... one of these three is lying king.
Fatal Sin Twenty Five: Suicide
Allaah says :
.......Nor kill yourselves, for verily Allaah has been to you most Merciful. If any do that in rancour and injustice soon shall we cast them into the fire, and easy it is for Allaah. If you but eschew the most heinous of the things which you are forbidden to do, we shall expell out of you all the evil in you. |
Allaah the Almighty also says :
Those who invoke not, with Allaah, any other god has made sacred, nor slay life as Allaah has made sacred, except for just cause, nor commit fornication. |
Jundub Ibn Abdullaah said : The Prophet said : Among those who were before you, there was an injured who gave up his recovery then took a knife and cut his arm which led to his death.
Allaah said :
My servant took his life by himself, thus I forbid Paradise on him. |
Abu Hurairah said : The Prophet said : He who stabs himself with a dagger, shall hold it [at the Day of Judgement] stabbing himself for ever in Hell-fire. And he who poison himself shall sip this poison in the Hell-Fire forever. The Prophet said about the one who kills himself with a sword to run away from his pains is : one of the dwellers of Hell. The Prophet also said : Cursing a believer is like killing him, and he who slanders a believer with shirk is his killer. and he who kills himself with something will be tortures with that thing forever at the Day of Judgement.
Fatal Sin Twenty Six: Unjust Judgement
Allaah says :
If any do fail to judge like what Allaah has revealed they are unbelievers. |
He also says :
Do they seek after the judgement of ignorance |
A third verse is :
Those who conceal the clear signs we have sent down, and the guidnace after we have made it clear for the people in the Book, on them shall be Allaah's curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse. |
The Prophet said : Allaah does not accept the prayer of a judge who judges against the laws of Allaah. The Prophet also said : One judge is in Paradise, and two in Hell, One knew the right and judged accordingly so he is in the Paradise, the other knew the right, but intentionally did not judge according it then he is in the hell, the third knew nothing and judged by ignorance, he is in the Hell. I [author] say that every one who judges ignorantly is included in this warning.
The Prophet said : Two judges are in The Hell and one in Paradise.... The Hadeeth. They [the Companions] said : What is the ignorants fault? The Prophet answered : His fault is being a judge before gaining knowledge. In another Hadeeth, the Prophet said : No one is holding responsibility for something in this Umma and does it unjustly that Allaah will throw hin in to Hell.
The Prophet said : He who is made a judge between the people is slayed without a kinfe. But if the judge worked hard and judged according toe the provided evidences, and did not judge according to any knowledgeable man, and later discovered his fault, he will gain merits, because the Prophet said : If the judge/ruler endeavoured to judge correctly and is right ; he shall have two merits, if he is mistaken, he shall have one merit. The Prophet arranged the number of merits according to endeavouring, he who imitates others in judging is out of the case. It is forbidden for the judge to judge while he is angry especially against the other side. If ignorance and bad intention are found in the judge together with bad morals and no piety, he is completely lost and he should dismiss himself to avoid Hell Fire. The Prophet said : Allaah curses the Briber and the one Bribed.
Fatal Sin Twenty Seven: The Procurer [ The one who approves sins on his family ]
Allaah says :
Nor let any but such a man or an unbeliever marry such a woman to the believers such a thing is forbidden. |
The Prophet said : Three are not going to enter Paradise: The disbeliever of his parents, the procurer, and a woman who acts like men. So he who knows sin of his woman relatives and commends it out of likeing it [ or because he cannot pay a debt for her] or a heavy bridal dowery, or he has small children, so he takes it to the judge asking for it] He is less that on who fall on her, and there is no good at all in the one whodoes not have a sense of jelousy upon them.
Fatal Sin Twenty Eight: Men like a woman and the woman like a man
Allaah says :
Those who avoid the greater crimes and shameful deeds, and when they are angry even then they forgive. |
Ibn Abbas said : The Prophet cursed those men who act like women, and women who act like men. In other narrations The Prophet said : Allaah curses the female who acts like a man. Abu Huriarah said : The Prophet cursed the manwho dresses like a woman. and a woman who dresses like a man. The Prophet said : Two kinds of people I didn't see yet, and are promised to dwell in Hell, Those who hold whips like cows tales whipping people with them, and women who are clothed but still naked, and walk wavingly, and their heads are like camels peaks, those women will never enter Paradise nor smell it, even though its fragrance can be smelled from far away. Women are cursed for doing many things such as : showing off their beauty like gold, pearls from under their cover, and perfume them with musk and Ambergis, and wearing *** things and light clothes - that show what is under them - and things like that.
Fatal Sin Twenty Nine: The Permitter of a forbidden thing and the one permitted to
Ibn Masu'd said The Prophet cursed the one who permits something forbidden and the one the thing is permitted to . The doer of this bad action is an imitator for the A'immah views and knew not the prohibition may Allaah forgive him.
Fatal Sin Thirty: Eating Carion , Blood, Meat of Swine
Allaah says
I find not in the message recieved by me by inspiration any meat forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine, for it is a abomination |
He who intentionally eats these kinds of meats unnessecarily is a criminal, and I think no pure Muslim who commits such a crime unless he is not a pure muslim but actually a Zanadikat al-Jabaliah and Tayamunah. All Muslims believe that eating pig' s meat is a greater sin than drinking wine.
It is said , rightly, that the Prophet said : Anybody that was grown on forbidden meat worths hell. All Muslims agreed that it is forbidden to play cards because The Prophet said : He who plays trick track dyed his hands with pig's blood and meat. undoubtly dyeing the hands with pig's meat and blood is greater than playing trick track, what do you say then about eating them? May Allaah protect us all with His mercy.
The Major Sins: 31 to 40
by al-Hâfidh Abî 'Abdullâh Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Uthmân bin Qayyim Dhahabî
Fatal Sin Thirty One: Not cleaning the self from stain [ which is the symbol of the christians]
Allaah says:
And thy garments keep free from stain |
The prophet said When he passed two graves once : They are being tortured. Surely for a great sin one of them used not to clean himself from the urine the other was always slandering others. Anas Ibn malik may Allaah be pleased with him said that the Propeht said : Clean yourselves form urine because most of the punishment in the grave is due to not cleaning it, Also he who does not clean himself from urine his prayers are not accepted.
Fatal Sin Thirty Two: Tax Collecting
It is shown in the Glorious Qur'aan when Allaah says :
The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrong doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land defying right and justice ; for such there will be penalty grievous |
The Prophet said : in The hadeeth of this female fornicator who healed herself by subjecting herself to the punishement of stoning : she has repented a repentance which if tax collectors would repent would be forgiven for his repentance will be acepted .
Tax collector is like a road thief which is worse than stealing itself He who cheats people and renews taxes paying on them, he is more unjust and unfair than he who does fair in his tax collecting and who is merciful on his people tax collector, and on its witness. Those who collect taxes from soldiers or old people or merchants are all criminals and eaters for the forbidden We Pray to Allaah for the good here andon the hereafter.
Fatal Sin Thirty Three: Hypocrisy
Allaah says :
They stand without earnestness to be seen of men, but little do they hold Allaah in remembrance. |
He also says
.....Like those who spend their substance to be seen of men. |
The Prophet said : The first one who is judged at the day of Judgement is a man who is killed at wars, Allaah brings him and reveals His bounty on him which the man recognizes. Then Allaah asks the man : What did you do ? The man answers : I fought for your sake till death. Allaah says then : You lied, you fought just to so it could be said that you were 'brave' and it was said so. Then the man is dragged on his face to be damned in Hell. Another man is the one of knowledge who learned and taught and recited the Qur'aan. he is brought at this day to the presence of Allaah. Allaah reveals His bounty on the man who, consequently, recognizes it. Allaah asks him : What did you do with what you knew? The man answers : I learned knowledge and taught it, and recited the Qur'aan for your sake. Allaah says : You lied, you learn't it to be said among people that this man is a knowledgeable one, and recited Qur'aan so it could be said he is a recitor, and it was said so. He is also dragged on his face to Hell. A third person is the one whom Allaah riches and money. He is also brought to the presence of Allaah who reveals His bounty on the man who recognises it well. Then Allaah asks him what did you do ? The man answers : I didn't leave one way you would like to give money in but I did, and only for your sake. Allaah says : You lied You did so just to be said among people that you are a generous man and it was said so. Then this man like the two before is dragged on his face.
'Umar's son said that people said to him that when they meet their kings, they talk to them with things opposite to what they say when they are alone. 'Umar's son a said : We used to consider this as hypocrisy at the time of the Prophet.
The Prophet said : He who does things for the sake of the people, and say things for their sake not for Allaah's sake, Allaah will reveal his hypocrisy to the public at the Day of Judgement.
Muadh said that the Prophet said : A little hypocrisy is Shirk.
