The Spiritual School

Ramadan:

The Month of fasting is the ninth Month of the Hegira Year (Islamic Calendar).

This year, the first of Ramadan coincides with June 06, 2016

Fasting during this Month is one of the Pillars of Islam.

This worship is an obligation on every adult and sane Muslim.

It begins from dawn, before the sunrise till the sunset, throughout this month.

Fasting means to give up  eating and drinking as well as other desires such as  sex …

Also, it means to refrain from speaking nasty, unclean words and doing evil acts...

Fasting the month of Ramadan constitutes a spiritual discipline for the soul to practice moral principles and rectitude, as it educates piety against forbidden matters and patience towards desires.

Therefore, Ramadan is an adult education to give up bad habits. Besides,  it's an opportunity to repent.

In addition  to this, fasting is the best way to avoid  many sicknesses: Stomachache, Colon diseases, and many others!

When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of  Heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained!

Indeed, it's the divine school to any one who wants to take the right path, and to get the loving kindness of Allah!

It is well known that Ramadan is a refuge for the believers to seek forgiveness. This means that whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hopes for a reward from Allah will have all his previous sins forgiven by Him.

Allah has prepared a special reward for fasters and has dedicated  a special gate in Paradise to them, named Ar-Raiyan.

Allah Has said about the obligation and the benefits of Ramadan:

" O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint,

(Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number (should be made up) from days later. For those who can do it (with hardship), is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent but he that will give more, of his own free will, it is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.

Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur-an, as a guide to mankind, also Clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.".
